[ Special delivery! Piper receives three homemade soy candles that smell faintly of freshly washed cotton, a woven tan bracelet, and a certificate of donation to a local homeless shelter. ]
I wish you a happy holiday, whichever holiday you may celebrate! I have gathered that you would prefer money to go to a good cause, but rest assured, the other items I have included are ones that I have made myself.
Tell me about it. And it's a paid gig, but I've been thinking of trying to use it to do better, you know? Find a way to make it into a charity drive, maybe for burn victims. But I don't know shit about setting that up, so I was wondering if you'd like to help.
Medical funds aren't usually my focus, but I can't imagine it's that much different from any other charity drive. Did your producers have an idea of when they wanted to air this?
Well, the first step is picking a specific charity. Maybe get in touch with someone at Heropa General and see what their burn ward needs. Then set a goal and bring a higher number than you actually want to raise to your producers.
[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Hartley via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]
Dear, Mr. Rathaway -
We may have only spoken briefly before, but our conversations have stuck with me since the election nearly a year ago. I've continued to think, how can I give back to the community? And then I realized one thing I could do.
I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.
For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished in order to help bring education to the youth as well as aid the older natives in necessary skills to obtain lucrative jobs so that they are not relying on criminal income to provide for their families. I do hope this is a cause you will feel worth fighting for.
I thank you for your time, and I do hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely, Ambassador Petyr Baelish
[ OOC: You can feel free to just respond to this OOCly if he would donate anything or not! ]
He would absolutely respond with a generous donation of let's say $1,500, and a request to keep him in the loop on the library education programs as they get started.
[ Honestly just a text that has a list of new fanfic recs from the Russian To Love You fandom and its sequel. It's been a while since Mick's sent him any, he'd kinda wandered off from it for a while. ]
