Well, after the concert and dinner the other night, this would be the third date, right? I don't think times could possibly have changed so much that that doesn't mean something.

[ Piper's got a fair few butterflies in his stomach, as well. He's never really planned to hook up with someone quite like this before, but he likes Eddie, and they have fun together, so he's looking forward to it. ]

Exactly. And all we'd be missing are some fireworks, right?

[It's not his usual M.O. either, but it feels right. Even if it ends up not being serious, this is fun. And if it is...well, that would be great too.]

Believe me, I've seen a LOT of fireworks on my birthday. :) I am totally cool missing some this year.
